Sands Water Park: Open to Sands guests only, Sands Water Park has dozens of water attractions that fun for all ages. Zip down the waterslides or chill in the lazy river or bubble pool. Enjoy all the fun of the big water parks without the long lines!

Broadway Grand Prix: As a Sands Resorts guest, you get buy one get one free tickets to Broadway Grand Prix. Race on their seven courses like the Fast Track and Speed Racer, experience the feel of free falling on the Space Coaster ride, or play putt-putt on two 18-hole mini golf courses.

OD’s Beach Bar: Located at our Ocean Dunes and Resorts Villas location, OD’s lets you relax all day on a pool deck with the beach as your view. There’s live music all summer long and cold drinks and food to keep you satisfied while you’re hanging in the sun.

Ocean Annie’s is Open For Fun

Located right on the ocean at Sands Ocean Club, Ocean Annie’s features cold drinks, live music and an unbeatable view. Pack your towels and your sunscreen, because you’re gonna want to stay all day!

Now in its fourth decade, Ocean Annie’s officially opened for the season on March 10th. The bar starts serving at 11 AM and the music starts at 2 PM, so you’re set for a full day of fun. Regular bands include Dawn and the Southside Band, Dark: 30 Boogie Band and The TCB Band. Listen to the jams while you swim in the pool, or get up and dance your flip-flops off! With easy access to the beach, you can go back and forth as much as you like and switch up your scenery.

The bar has a full drink menu combining signatures and classics. Annie’s Tea, Annie’s Slammer and Annie’s Punch toast to the bar itself. The Myrtle Breeze, the Margaritaville, the Grand Strand Lemonade, the Myrtle Beach Sunset, the Carolina Cosmo and the Sex on the Strand show a little love to the locals. Drinks are served up by bikini-clad servers while you lay out and relax.

Myrtle Beach Marathon

The Myrtle Beach Marathon is back by popular demand!

Each year thousands of visitors and locals come together and participate in Myrtle Beach’s biggest race event of the year. The 19th Annual Myrtle Beach Marathon will take place March 3rd-5th. Marathon participants and organizes support area charities through the race including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Carolina, the Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross and Horry County Schools. Shopping in Myrtle Beach

It’s always a good day to do a little shopping in Myrtle Beach, especially on those rainy days when you can’t hit the beach. There are plenty of places to check out in the area from the malls, outlets, specialty shops and more. Here are the top places to go shopping on your Myrtle Beach vacation.

Tanger Outlets

There are two Tanger Outlet locations with one being in North Myrtle Beach and the other off Highway 501. You will find plenty of shops to choose from with factory store pricing on the latest and great trends in fashion. There are many stores when shopping with a teen including Rue 21, Guess, and American Eagle Outfitters. Other clothing stores include Ann Taylor, Kate Spade, New York and Company and Dressbarn. You can even find items for your home at many of the shops like Kitchen Collection, Yankee Candle, and the QVC Store. The Tanger Outlets are open from 10 a.m – 10 p.m. and will vary by season.

Broadway at the Beach

It’s not only a great place to hang out with the family and grab a bite to eat, but also a great place to find that one-of-a-kind souvenir. Broadway at the Beach is a popular attraction for many visitors to check out while on vacation. You can find the latest fashion wear, specialty foods, home accessories, unique boutique shops and more. Some of the beachwear stores include Ron Jon’s Surf Shop, Tiki Jim’s and Sunglass Hut. You’ll definitely want to make a stop at Sugar and find yourself a sweet treat. Broadway at the Beach is open from 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. and will vary by season.

Coastal Grand Mall

You can find the largest indoor mall in South Carolina right in Myrtle Beach. The Coastal Grand Mall has many shopping options, places to eat and a movie theater. There are many popular department stores including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sears, Dillard’s, JcPenney and Sears. Other stores in the mall include clothing stores like H&M, Express, Charlotte Russe, The Loft and PacSun.  The mall is open from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.

November Events in Myrtle Beach

The Grand Strand is filled with events and festivals this month for both locals and visitors of the area. Here are the top November events in Myrtle Beach:

Ripley’s Festival of Trees – Ripley’s Aquarium is the place to go to get into the holiday spirit! The Festival of Trees has returned for another year and is now open to the public. Throughout the aquarium, there are themed Christmas trees that are breathtaking. You will find a tree for each of the fifty states, a Las Vegas-style tree and a Mardi Gras tree. To see Ripley’s Festival of Trees, you must purchase a ticket to the aquarium. Trust us, you don’t want to miss it!

Dickens Christmas Show and Festival – This festival is a unique and award-winning event filled with entertainment, vendors and more. The Myrtle Beach Convention Center sets up from November 12-15 for this special event. As you stroll around the event, you will find many holiday items for purchase, a display of trees, beautiful wreaths and the Festival of Worlds. Plus, there is a silent auction where 100% of the funds go to the sponsoring nonprofit. The Dickens Christmas Show event times are Thursday, November 12, from 9 a.m. – 8 pm, Friday and Saturday from 12-6 p.m.

The Market Common Tree Lighting – Get the family together and head on out to The Market Common on November 21st for the famous tree lighting. It’s a great way to kick off the Christmas season and get into the holiday spirit. There will be street entertainment, balloon art and a chance to meet Santa! The event runs from 6-8pm.

Surfside Beach Turkey Trot – Join the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 am for a little friendly competition. You get to choose which race you want to run from 1-mile, a 5K or a 10K all beginning at 8:30 a.m. It’s the perfect way to squeeze in that last minute exercise before you eat that delicious Thanksgiving meal! The race begins at the Surfside Pier and guests are encouraged to sign-up before the event. All of the proceeds from the event stays in the Grand Strand community.
