November Events in Myrtle Beach

The Grand Strand is filled with events and festivals this month for both locals and visitors of the area. Here are the top November events in Myrtle Beach:

Ripley’s Festival of Trees – Ripley’s Aquarium is the place to go to get into the holiday spirit! The Festival of Trees has returned for another year and is now open to the public. Throughout the aquarium, there are themed Christmas trees that are breathtaking. You will find a tree for each of the fifty states, a Las Vegas-style tree and a Mardi Gras tree. To see Ripley’s Festival of Trees, you must purchase a ticket to the aquarium. Trust us, you don’t want to miss it!

Dickens Christmas Show and Festival – This festival is a unique and award-winning event filled with entertainment, vendors and more. The Myrtle Beach Convention Center sets up from November 12-15 for this special event. As you stroll around the event, you will find many holiday items for purchase, a display of trees, beautiful wreaths and the Festival of Worlds. Plus, there is a silent auction where 100% of the funds go to the sponsoring nonprofit. The Dickens Christmas Show event times are Thursday, November 12, from 9 a.m. – 8 pm, Friday and Saturday from 12-6 p.m.

The Market Common Tree Lighting – Get the family together and head on out to The Market Common on November 21st for the famous tree lighting. It’s a great way to kick off the Christmas season and get into the holiday spirit. There will be street entertainment, balloon art and a chance to meet Santa! The event runs from 6-8pm.

Surfside Beach Turkey Trot – Join the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 am for a little friendly competition. You get to choose which race you want to run from 1-mile, a 5K or a 10K all beginning at 8:30 a.m. It’s the perfect way to squeeze in that last minute exercise before you eat that delicious Thanksgiving meal! The race begins at the Surfside Pier and guests are encouraged to sign-up before the event. All of the proceeds from the event stays in the Grand Strand community.
