Shark Teeth Hunting Tips

 

shark_teethLow tide is the best time to find these sharp fossils. The water is calmer and clearer at low tide, giving you better visibility. Early morning hours, we feel are the best times to search. There are fewer people around to compete with.

Shark Teeth can be found near the water, usually right where the tide is rolling out and especially where you see the accumulation of broken shells, near the last high tide mark. It is a very tedious but relaxing hobby. Some of us are at it for hours on end.

Look for small, black triangular shapes in the sand. The more you find, the more your eyes will key in on them. You will be an expert hunter in no time. Always remember to carry a small pouch or bucket to collect your treasures and lather on the sunscreen.
