Do I have to book a golf package from the packages available?

No . . . . we'll be happy to customize a special package based on your request.  This can be done through Sands Reservation Center or on our website through the Reservation Wizard.  The packages advertised are suggestions based on customer feedback..

If I book a vacation online, will I receive a confirmation by e-mail or regular mail?

When you book a vacation online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation within 48 hours.

Do guests of Sands Resorts have access to the Waterpark at Sand Dunes?

Yes. Sands Resorts Guests have access to the Waterpark. This includes: Ocean Dunes, Ocean Forest Plaza, Ocean Forest Villas, Sand Dunes, Sands Ocean Club, and Beach Club.

If I've already arranged a golf package, can I book additional golf after arriving at Sands?

Based on availability, the Sands Golf Department can book additional rounds at any area course. However, it may be risky to wait until you arrive since the more popular courses do sell the most desirable tee times as far as 6-8 months in advance.

Are there any special rules or requirements regarding Sands Waterpark?

Guests under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or adult who is 21 years of age or older.

If I'm a guest at Sands Resort, may I use facilities at other Sands properties?

Guests of Sands Resorts may use the recreational facilities and amenities at all six (6) locations.  Simply display your parking pass in the front windshield of your car and always take your room key when visiting the other locations.  Usage of facilities is permitted pending the availability of parking spaces.

If I arrive early, can I go to my room?

Our normal check-in is 4:00 pm. However, if you arrive early, check with the Front Desk regarding baggage storage. Each location will assist you and also make a recommendation for changing clothes so you can hit the beach or golf course.

What specific equipment is available in Sands Health Club?

Our Health Club is equipped with array of advanced equipment to include: Cardiovascular Section with (3) treadmills, (4) exercise bicycles, (2) Stairmasters and (3) Precor Elliptical machines. Also there is a weight room with dumbbells, free weights and Nautilus equipment. Sands Resorts offers a water aerobics class.

How can I see Sands Resorts new "Hall of Heroes"?

Sands Resorts new "Hall of Heroes," honoring our military, police and firefighters who throughout history have protected our freedom, is open free of charge, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is located on the first floor of The Rawcliffe Center at Ocean Dunes/Sand Dunes Resort & Villas.  Weekend guests are asked to call ahead (843-692-5262) and make an appointment to see the Hall on a weekend day.

If we fly into Myrtle Beach is there transportation into the hotel?

Yes, we maintain courtesy airport shuttle service which will take you to and from the Myrtle Beach International Airport.  The shuttle runs from 7 am to 11 pm daily.  You should contact us in advance if you will be using the airport shuttle (800-845-1011).

How can I find out what is going on in the resort when I arrive?

When arriving, check with your Sands Front Desk for updated activities. Events will vary by resort and change seasonally. Sands Concierge Desk can also give updates on area activities.
